Pursuing a career path to mechanical engineering.
My Lifelong Career Goals
My interest in Mechanical Engineering started when I was little, and I used to watch the movie Cars every day. I remember watching Cars on repeat and being amazed by the cars, racing, and the engines. This made me realize that starting my own custom car shop is the path for me, as there aren't many custom car shops in my area that do full modifications. I enjoy watching fast cars and being able to work on them, and that I would like to turn that interest into something bigger in the future.
My Educational Path
While I have always known that I wanted to work on and around cars, it was only recently that I discovered my route to pursuing this dream would be through Mechanical Engineering. Focusing on this pathway has led me to taking more STEM-related classes and activities during the latter half of high school. Early in my high school career, I chose to take classes on the aviation pathway and learned a lot of information that is transferable to mechanical engineering. I am very privileged to attend Gulf Shores High School, where I am offered this aviation pathway, along with lots of opportunities to take AP and honors classes.
My Community Service
I am fortunate to grow up in a family and attend a school that believes in the importance of community service. My parents have taught me the importance of giving back my entire life and urged me to participate in my older sibling's community service projects when I was in elementary school. Now, I attend a school that holds a district-wide community service day called Gulf Shores Gives Back. One day in every spring semester, the entire Gulf Shores school system takes a day off from class and participates in various service projects throughout our community. This event has shown me the difference I can make in my community when I work together with those around me.
School Extracurricular Activities
Being involved in athletics and school organizations has taught me how to be a team player, develop leadership and social skills, take pride in my school and community, and engage in meaningful activities outside of the classroom.

My educational journey at Gulf Shores High School has helped me become a more well-rounded individual. I've learned to balance my time between classes, work, athletics, and extra-curricular activities. These experiences will continue to mold me into a successful college student.
Community Involvement
Getting involved in my community has helped me expand my knowledge of the people around me, as well as realizing how my actions can positively impact others. The skills I have obtained will help me be a better college student and, eventually, a better employee in the workforce.
